Expert Posts: 512 Location: Netherlands | grmbl :P ALT-P (insert-copy) bugs. I don't know the exact nature yet, but blocks of certain lengths (24 rows high as far as I can see now, with 6/12/48 highlight settings) aren't or aren't always insert-pasted. How about still doing that re-release, together with that fixed ALT-D bug? (these are really annoying bugs!) [edit] yep, tested with other highlight settings. The max length one can insert-paste now is 2x major highlight. Edited by CS_TBL 2010-01-11 10:25 PM

Developer Posts: 746 Location: England | Well, I can't reproduce the paste bug. I've tried the settings you've given, and others. Is it possible you're pasting to a pattern with a different resolution than that which you copied from? If so, you should be able to temporarily match the resolutions, to do the paste, and them change it back (reViSiT should remember any subrows that were truncated). Chris

Expert Posts: 512 Location: Netherlands | Nop, all in the same pattern. No subrow resolutions changed, the song's just 'bare IT2'-style.

Expert Posts: 512 Location: Netherlands | To make sure we're doing the same thing, I mean pasting at row 0 for instance, making the rest of the destination position move down. I can of course manually paste the block contents at the destination spot, it's this 'insert' which doesn't work with blocks of 2x major row highlight.

Expert Posts: 512 Location: Netherlands | Oh, and PatternEditor.PatternOptionsApply (ctrl F2) doesn't seem to work anymore, all of a sudden.

Expert Posts: 512 Location: Netherlands | ctrl f2 thing "fixed", walk on people, nothing to see here! Just a pile o' Steinberg skulls.

Developer Posts: 746 Location: England | I've uploaded a new build, to address the problems with pasting (Alt-P) or block/double selection (Alt-D): http://www.nashnet.co.uk/experiment/reViSiT1.3.1Pro_X.exe http://www.nashnet.co.uk/experiment/reViSiT1.3.1Pro_X.zip

Regular Posts: 60 | It could be me, but when selecting a double pattern (128 rows) and pasting the data into a normal (64 row) pattern with alt + 2xO, normally the pattern would automatically extend itself to a 128 rows one, but this doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

Developer Posts: 746 Location: England | I can confirm that this is a bug. Another silly one, but at least not fatal. It will be fixed in the next release. Chris

Regular Posts: 60 | it gave me the time to make a template with only 128 row patterns, something you plan to do but only kicking in action when something like this happens. :p so, np!

Developer Posts: 746 Location: England | Okay, I've uploaded another new build for 1.3.1, addressing the Overwrite/Extend 'niggle'. Otherwise, despite the amount of new/rewritten code for subrow selection, there don't appear to be any other demons in the machine... http://www.nashnet.co.uk/experiment/reViSiT1.3.1Pro_X.exe http://www.nashnet.co.uk/experiment/reViSiT1.3.1Pro_X.zip

Expert Posts: 512 Location: Netherlands | 1) Does ALT-k to interpolate volumes actually work? 2) If MIDI effect 9xx is linked to CC#7, then why is this CC processed after a note on the same step? C 4 900 901 902 etc. This, for a fade-in, first exposes the note at full volume.

Expert Posts: 512 Location: Netherlands | Check, ALT-K when the end volume is 64 -> no interpolation. Bug!

Developer Posts: 746 Location: England | 1) 'Will be fixed in next release. Actually affects all interpolations involving the maximum of that figure (64 for volume, pan, depth; FF for effect). 2) A default volume message is sent upon a Note On, and the effects are always processed last, so somehow a delay is creeping in. I've been looking at MIDI timing recently, so will investigate this too. In the meantime, you might be able to do your fade-in using the instrument's volume envelope.

Link : http://www.softsynth.hu/oldalak/69/revisit-pro-131 I have embedded some youtube videos that was posted from CS_TBL in this forum. Some YouTube tutorial would be cool, but I haven't found that yet.. Cheers Arpad
