Hi Everyone,
Many thanks to those who have provided feedback over the last few weeks ? and many thanks to RonC for his assistance in tracking down the SHIFT issue. This release (v0.85.2) should solve some problems and probably create some new ones, featuring as it does:
· Instrument List (Interface only) reViSiT v0.85.2 is the first step towards Instrument support. Currently, only the data structures and interface (excluding envelope editing) are implemented. Feedback on the interface is appreciated ? the notable changes from IT2 are the use of whole rows for the keymap, instead of just pitch and sample, and the use of the F4 key to change tabs in the instrument editor. However, this gives me enough to add MIDI functionality (IN, OUT, THRU) in v0.86.
· Overhauled Interface code The above addition was facilitated by a large reworking of the code ? reViSiT is almost completely object-oriented now. Generally this should make bugs easier to solve, new features easier to add, and errors in programming harder to make ? at negligible cost to performance.
· Miscellaneous Bug Fixes Including the shift-key/selection issue, selection graphics update issue. reViSiT will also no longer interrupt song or pattern playback to audition a row.
· Preliminary support for Stereo samples reViSiT will now load stereo wave files (possibly even multi-channel files), show them in the sample list and save them with your modules. However, reViSiT v0.85.2 currently defaults to using the left channel only. There should be little or no performance hit, when stereo support is finally added.
· See the readme.txt for more details.
