hi, i'm really starting to appreciate the pattern-toggling capabilities of revisit re: feeding it midi to start specific patterns.

im wondering, is there a way of changing rows per beat as a pattern effect in the pattern editor? i have a written segment which is the central part of the track, and now would like to start experimenting with newly written patterns with revisit functioning as a impulsetracker-based drummachine, and its powers would most certainly be in the being able to change the rows per beat  in the pattern itself. would this, could this be possible, am i simply missing something in revisit and not aware of it, or?

also, is there a way to play multiple patterns on top of eachother?

No, there is no such effect - reViSiT's rows per beat setting is a global constant, to improve the rendering performance, for low-latency ASIO sound. At some point, it might be possible to have this as a per-pattern setting (in Pattern Options), but this is not a priority.

You can, however, use Axx and the pattern zoom functions to get higher definition editing.

Not yet, but this is planned. Currently, this will probably come in two stages. Initially, it will be possible to trigger multiple patterns at once, but the tracker channels will be shared - i.e. if you trigger Pattern #1 and #2, a note off from Pattern #2 will end a note started in Pattern #1, if they use the same channel. Later on, I will investigate simply having the patterns playable separately, without interfering with each other - but I can actually think of uses where such interference might be useful.
