Expert Posts: 512 ![]() Location: Netherlands | oh, lol, I thought that word existed in English.. ^_^ They're like regular exams, or tests. You do those to close 8-week modules 'n such. Typically you do like 16 of 'm each year or so.

Expert Posts: 512 ![]() Location: Netherlands | Whole book: Dutch Politics (most worthless book ever, thank heavens someone from my group arranged a summary) Half a book: Communication (redo :P) - and a nearly as worthless book - Chapters from a book: Reporting Two small books: Writing for an audience + I've to do an articles on something and 3 reports (1x court, 1x local government (bleh), 1x video of a local government) The study itself is 'Journalism', dunno whether I've mentioned that earlier or anyway. So, yeah, in case my postcount didn't reveal that fact yet: I'm an hopeless writer. :P Most ppl I speak to (who know I'm into music) don't really understand why I'm doing all this.

Developer Posts: 746 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: England | The Messe was good. I talked to a number of manufacturers and magazines about reViSiT and the research, with many positive results. Thanks to the economic situation, the aisles were a little wider than normal - and so Ableton and Mackie were nowhere to be seen - but a number of host manufacturers seem eager to support reViSiT and the experiment, offering support contacts and NFR (not for resale) copies of their software for testing/debugging. This will help a lot, since some host demos are time-limited, allowing me only 30-days of debugging - e.g. SONAR. I have to further liase with a few contacts, but some articles on reViSiT and the experiment might also start appearing in magazines - though due to the nature of the show, these'll be mostly German publications. Talking to others, this seems to be general impression - that the MusikMesse, although still huge, is being eclipsed by NAMM - though this might simply be a temporary dip because of the economic mood. All in all, a good trip. Best, Chris PS: How were the exams, CS_TBL?

Expert Posts: 512 ![]() Location: Netherlands | Well, still got 3 to go. Wouldn't know the results before weeks from now. These 'exams' are spread over 2 weeks (1 day each week). I'm at 3/4 of the first year already, dang, time flies. First exam was about writing structures. Like identifying errors like: 'white snow', or 'the dead man who passed away', and more of those kind of things. Talking about language.. I somehow have the impression there're jokes to be made with the term 'track record' :P
