Regular Posts: 60 | Very nice update. Only 2 odd things I noticed Chris: 1. ReViSiT still doesn't hold 32-bit floating point samples in the sample editor. Tried a few just now and they don't show, the sample I illustrated in the other thread about the sample editor as well. 2. The '.' button (erase data at cursor) in the pattern editor isn't working. I assume this has to do with the new keyboard handler you've implemented, and although you'd come across this sooner or later I thought I'd just mention it since it's one of my most used shortcuts while working in the pattern editor. For the rest, all good. Big up for fixing the normalize thing, since any simple task I won't have to do in an external sample editor (killing workflow imo) helps! Regular Posts: 60 | also, the y key (A note) gives a C when typed in the pattern editor... fixable with note transposing for the moment I guess

Developer Posts: 746 Location: England | Oops... The y/z flip is down to me using a German keyboard! I've uploaded a new build with both keyboard fixes. Thanks for the heads up - keep the feedback coming! Just re-download the last release to get the new build. As for 32-bit files, what do you mean by "hold"? Best, Chris

Regular Posts: 60 | nice one. I meant that ReViSiT still doesn't handle 32-bit floating point samples, at least not the ones I try to load in it (which are simply made in Cool Edit Pro 2.1). please see my example from the other thread as a reference.

Developer Posts: 746 Location: England | Fegi: I'm not having any trouble with 'Return'/'Enter' in Pattern Options - I've tested in Cubase and REAPER. Is there anything else you can tell me - what you were trying to do / what keyboard mode you're using / whether Enter works elsewhere? Is anyone else having similar problems? Chris

Developer Posts: 746 Location: England | Thanks, RG. As for 32-bit samples - they load and play, but are not previewed properly in Sample Info. I'll see if I can fix this for the next release. Cheers, Chris

Developer Posts: 746 Location: England | The waveform display anomaly is due to the extra headroom on 32-bit samples (they are 65536x taller) - and exists also in the Normalise function, so best to steer clear of this on 32-bit until I have a fix. Chris

Chris just tried it again. as far as i can see the pattern options dialog is the only dialog where enter or return doesnt work for me. it works flawlessly in the undo dialog or when choosing an instrument color or in the instrument list (load). it works flawlessly in 1.00.8. im using a german keyboard and my windows language settings are german (austria). i tried manual keyboard mode on/off. not sure what else i could try. greetings, fegi

Developer Posts: 746 Location: England | Hi all, I think I've worked out what's going on. The Enter key doesn't close the dialog in v1.00.9, but it does Apply the settings. In v1.00.8, it also closed the dialog - so perhaps this is why you have the impression Enter wasn't working. In v1.1, I'll make the Enter key close the dialog once again, to save any confusion. Fegi: can you confirm that the settings are applied - e.g. the row highlights - when you hit Enter? Best, Chris

Best, Chris i can partly confirm...but it's even more strange than i thought. pressing enter when changing only the pattern length doesn't work. i have to change at least 2 settings (for example pattern length and row highlight) so that the desired pattern length is applied - BUT then only the pattern length is applied and not the row highlight. stupid to describe i guess, but if it's not clear enough what i mean, i'll make a short video tomorrow demonstrating this. maybe it is just a screen redraw bug? greetings, fegi

Developer Posts: 746 Location: England | I can confirm this bug in .9 - it's not just screen redraw, and no need for a video. However, the change for v1.1 will fix this too. Chris
