Location: England | Hi everyone,
Registered users can now download a new reViSiT 1.7 Pro beta version. Compared to the previous beta, this release includes an "Export to Wav" feature, in Standalone mode, which mixes the reViSiT song to a 32-bit wave file, for use in other programs or (with conversion) burning to CD. The export runs much faster than realtime, but you can still watch the progress as reViSiT plays through the song. You can also stop the export by hitting the Stop (F8) playback button. http://revisit.info/beta.asp Note, only reViSiT's internal audio is exported - it has no access to audio from any external or virtual MIDI synths running in the background. If you want to mixdown songs with such external sources, you either need to run reViSiT as a plugin (and use the host's recording/mixdown features) or may, depending on your soundcard, be able to record your soundcard's output (e.g. by selecting "Record what I hear" or "Stereo Mix" input devices - refer to your soundcard's documentation).
This should be the last beta before public release, so let me know if you run across any problems. I've already started development on a number of new features, to appear in forthcoming 1.x versions, and hope to release some screenshots in the coming weeks. I might also need your thoughts on the final design, so stay tuned.
Best, Chris |
