Hi all-

I'm working with small samples and noticed the following. Wonder what I might be doing wrong:

The above shows a 107-sample monophonic sine wave (this is also the size of the file; no silence at the end). Shows up on 1 of 2 channels, and loop size is stated to be between 000 and 107. Presumably though, the sample waveform should extend to the loopend marker, which is set at 107 samples.

In the above image, I've set the loopend so that it approaches the actual end of the sine waveform. But I've had to set it at 30 samples to make this happen, where the length of the waveform is 107 samples.

Obviously, I'm missing something about how all this interacts. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Best, Charles

(reVisit 1.6 beta8, although I noticed this on the standard release as well.)

Heh - it's entirely possible you're not doing something wrong. Send me a copy of the sample you're using and I'll see what's amiss.

Thanks for the file. The problem appears to be that reViSiT can shrink waveform previews but not enlarge them. In your pictures 1 pixel (horizontally) represents one sample. There's only 107, so it doesn't stretch to the end of the display. However, the loop points are drawn assuming that it is stretched to the end of the display.

Until 1.6, you should ignore the display and just go with the numbers and your ears for short samples.

No worries. I understand what's up now...

Thanks
