I got some feedback from someone having problems on Windows 98, where reViSiT wasn't being recognised as a plug-in. They didn't give me an email address (or a name) - I think assuming that this was a bug rather than a fixable configuration issue - but I thought I'd post a probable solution in the chance that they (you...?) swanned by:
As mentioned in the readme.txt and elsewhere on the forum, reViSiT requires a file called msvcr70.dll to placed in the windows/system32 directory. Normally, if this file is absent, you should be prompted with an error message saying so. However, some hosts / OS's may not display the error - instead they will silently fail to load (and therefore list) the reViSiT plug-in. The file is readily available across the Internet.
I know reViSiT works on Windows ME, but I guess I should check other editions: anyone using Windows 9x who can vouch for reViSiT?
All the best,
Chris
