Hi Everyone,

Many thanks to those who have provided feedback over the last few weeks. This release (v0.85.3) should solve most problems without creating too many new ones, featuring as it does:

·          New keyboard Shortcuts:

o         Alt-B        Set beginning of selection.

o         Alt-E        Set end of selection.

o         Alt-D        Press once to select major highlight length (ie.16 rows), twice to double selection length.

o         Alt-V        Set selection volume to that last edited.

o         Alt-W       Clear volumes not explicitly associated with a note or instrument.

o         Alt-S        Set selection instrument to current instrument.

·          Miscellaneous bug fixes including keyboard issues, channel muting problems, etc.

·          Selection and Clipboard support for Instrument keymap editing

·          Dedicated sample audition channels (32 stereo).

·          Support for host sample rates other than 44.1k.

This, hopefully, will mark the last update before 0.86, which is to feature MIDI support. There are still some issues with troublesome VST hosts (sync in Tracktion, loading in Renoise and VSTHost, etc.), but these will now have to wait until the beta stages (0.9x) - if, indeed, they are solvable at all. Technically, these aren't bugs in reViSiT at all!

If you download reViSiT, you are requested to provide feedback on your experiences using the online forum.

If you have already applied to the Alpha programme, you will have an email containing the details of the download. If you haven't applied, go to http://www.nashnet.co.uk/english/revisit/download.htm and sign up for the download.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to pose them on the forum - or to me directly by email, via revisit@nashnet.co.uk. For more information, see the reViSiT website @ http://revisit.nashnet.co.uk.

Enjoy!

All the best,
Chris
