Developer Posts: 746 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: England | Hi Everyone, Many thanks to those who have provided feedback over the last few weeks (special mentions include Esa and RonC). It's been a while since the last release, but hopeful the changes list justifies the delay! This release (v0.86.4, incorporating v0.86.3) comprises many new features, modifications and fixes, and hopefully shouldn't create too many new bugs, featuring as it does: · Mouse Support. reViSiT v0.86.4 introduces the long awaited and much requested mouse support. The level of support is roughly equivalent to (if not better than) Impulse Tracker's - covering most non-pattern controls. Pattern block selection and the remaining mouse support will be added in future versions. · Save-With-Host. When you save the host's document (e.g. sequence) or plug-in settings, reViSiT will now embed a copy of the current module in the data. This data will automatically be restored when the document / plug-in settings are reloaded. · Improved · Song Variables Page. A number of settings can be changed to help you work faster in reViSiT, including default Samples, Instrument and Module paths; graphics priority (for computers / hosts with lagging graphics), keyboard mode (VST, Manual and Auto - Win32 is only available to reViSiT internally), options to disable the Save-With-Host feature and a manually adjustable MIDI delay setting, for sync'ing MIDI and internal sounds. All preferences, except Keyboard mode, can then be saved as the default. · Initial Instrument Model support. A number of instrument model features have been enabled in this release, including the key map (except the effect column), default panning and global volume settings. · And MUCH, MUCH more. reViSiT v0.86.4 has many more additions and changes, too numerous to list here (even more than v0.86!). See the readme.txt or associated release notes for full details. The beta stage (and, therefore, final release) is getting closer and closer, with some people even telling me that reViSiT's good enough for them already. They'll be no stopping though, with the next update (v0.86.5) solely concentrating on improved If you download reViSiT, you are requested to provide feedback on your experiences using the online forum. If you have already applied to the Alpha programme, you will have an email containing the details of the download.
