Regular Posts: 62 ![]() ![]() Location: United States | Chris, Sorry about the multiple emails but this needs to be addressed hopefully: When you stop the song in tracker or host mode, could you send a "midi note off" on all channels? Thx RonC

Regular Posts: 62 ![]() ![]() Location: United States | also another modification is perhaps could you make a mode or version that simply supports 16 midi separate outputs? I can't seem to find a way in my host to divide up the channels... RonC

Developer Posts: 746 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: England | Hi Ron, The MIDI reset will definitely be in the next version. I guess I got used to hitting the "MIDI Reset" button on my MIDI interface! The 16 seperate outs will never happen - VST only supports one connection of 16 channels. In Cubase, one can use a MIDI insert plug-in to filter out the unwanted channels. I don't know about Tracktion, but I would have thought there would be a similar feature. Otherwise, your only alternative is to use a loopback driver - either one driver instance for each connection or, again, a filter on the host's MIDI input. The easiest way to handle MIDI input might be to use reViSiT in a plug-in like EnergyXT or seperate ReWired host like Bidule - but I don't if there are other complications here (added latency?). Bidule, however, will allow you to connect to reViSiT's MIDI output to a channel splitter, which splits the MIDI connection into sixteen, which can be routed as desired. All the best, PS: Unfortunately, I don't know when 0.86.1 will be released - it entirely depends on how crazy my schedule is. If there are enough "quick fixes" necessary, then I might release 0.86.1 in a sort of service pack role and leave more involved features to 0.86.2.

Regular Posts: 62 ![]() ![]() Location: United States | Ahh yes, okay I just created a huge rack effect for tracktion so that it can handle each midi channel. This is completely amazing, my dreams are coming true! This is probably the best plugin thats EVER happened to me, Chris you are amazing and I really look forward to that midi cut off fix. Another thing, when you send the ^^^ note cut, it didnt affect it either. This is almost seamless, I am very impressed and very amazed at the moment. I'm just blown away. Thank you so much! what are we looking for next? mouse support? RonC

Developer Posts: 746 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: England | I think actually, that mouse support will gradually "creep in" organically. Every now and then I'll add support - on a whim - for a specific type of control... buttons, sliders, etc. The core system is pretty much there already anyway (I did that a few updates ago). I think after MIDI gets a bit more mature, it'll be instrument models that get "awoken". All the best,

Regular Posts: 62 ![]() ![]() Location: United States | i noticed that when i save an instance in tracktion, and exit, reload... The song isnt there. So every time I load the tracktion session, I'd have to save and load the file? Would there be a way to fix that? RonC

Hi First off, this is the most promising VST plugin I have ever encountered. I am hooked. There is a way to allow as many outputs as necessary - Use MIDI Yoke. It is a program that creates virtual MIDI cables to allow you to connect various MIDI enabled programs. So you would set any of the 8 virtual devices created by MIDI Yoke as your output device in ReViSiT, and then use these as MIDI inputs in your host. These midi input devices can then be routed to any VSTi, or even external sampler. Have fun Bye

Developer Posts: 746 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: England | Hi Resonance, MIDI Yoke is an example of a MIDI loopback driver. These have cropped up before in our discussions of MIDI, and one reservation is that they can have a slight latency. One way around this is to use a driver that uses the WDM Kernel mode. The LoopBe1 driver is one example, which I have tested and works fine. I don't know what architecture MIDI Yoke NT is - though I know a lot of people use it. What's your experience of the latency? Can you play synths in realtime perfectly? All the best,

The latency using Midi Yoke appears to be close enough to 0 for me to not notice it.
