Location: England | Hi there, Aaron, Before v0.85.2, reViSiT used to only load a single channel of a stereo .WAV file (that chosen by the user with the LEFT / RIGHT dialog). From v0.85.2, reViSiT got INITIAL support for multi-channel wave files - meaning it can load, save and display them. However, it can't yet play them in stereo, quad, etc. - it just uses the first channel of the file (i.e. left, for stereo files). Eventually this will be extended to stereo playback within a single channel (and panning will move the stereo image left and right, etc.). So, I admit the channel prompt (left / right) dialog is a little useless and misleading... and will be gone in v0.86. I suppose, if stereo panning isn't too tricky, v0.86 could also have stereo sample playback - reViSiT's audio engine already uses 2 audio channels per tracker channel, so there shouldn't be any performance hit. All the best, Chris |
