Good news, this time! I have managed to use Win32 code to produce a working copy of reViSiT with basic MIDI out support. Everything seems to be behaving, but there is a slight gap between sampled and MIDI instruments - indeed, almost exactly the same gap that was in Impulse Tracker 2! It appears to be around 50ms, but this figure will probably vary with ASIO buffer size. So, before proceeding with getting MIDI to work with the row effect commands, I'm going to introduce some delay-compensation into reViSiT - it shouldn't be too hard. I'm going to try for an Auto and a Manual mode. The first looks at you ASIO buffer size and tries to work out the appropriate delay, the other will allow you to input a user-specified delay.

Given that I've got a busy non-reViSiT week coming up, v0.86 with MIDI support should be available sometime within the next fortnight.
