New user Posts: 4 Location: Finland | Hi i am very newbie with this great software and might be that I have missed something. Midi notes seem to keep playing after pressing F8? Should it send a noteoff commands to midi output? And when playing some notes with a keyboard should there be noteoff after the keypress? How about somekind of a panic button? Does notecut command send a noteoff to midi channel? Anyway this software is something I have always wanted, thank you so much. ![]() I hope I made some sense?

Developer Posts: 746 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: England | Hi SuperNewbie, Welcome to the forum and reViSiT! In answer to your questions: * F8 and Alt-I should provoke similar actions. If anyone else is getting the stuck notes after F8, have they found that Alt-I works? What about hitting F8 twice? Let me know, please. * When auditioning MIDI instrument, a keypress triggers a note on and a key release triggers a note off. Cubase has a bug in it that means that a note off is usually triggered after a note on, making live playback difficult. There's a fix at: http://www.sonicbytes.com/era/zip/SXfiX.zip. See the thread at: * A MIDI Panic button might be useful, although there's always the Alt-I shortcut. And the F8 key should trigger one too. Also, I would expect most hosts to have such a feature themselves. * The Note Cut (^^^) and Note Off (===) tracker commands both send "MIDI Note Off "messages. Thanks for the feedback,

New user Posts: 4 Location: Finland | Thanks for your reply Chris. An interesting thread that on kvr! Although that looked very promising that fix didn't just do anything. I finally updated my cubase from sx2 to sx3 but no effect to that bugging noteoff behaviour. Noteoff commands on tracks will stop the notes but F8 won't (even pressing twice) and "keyboard playing" still works incorrectly? That fix didn't seem to have any effect on that behaviour (yes i installed and used it correctly ![]() Maybe i should try an another host.. Reply to : chrisnash

Developer Posts: 746 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: England | I don't know if it's worth you trying another host - Cubase SX2 is what I normally use to test reViSiT, so should be the most suitable. I'll have a look at these problems and see if I can reproduce them. Chris

Developer Posts: 746 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: England | UPDATE: You might try setting MIDI Delay = 0 in reViSiT's Preferences screen. reViSiT's F8 Stop behaviour has also been changed in the last version (v0.88), so perhaps that will help too. Chris
