Chris,

Just had a neat idea. I think it would be cool if eventually, *way down the road*, maybe you could create a neat function where you highlight certain areas of the tracked song, and drag it into the host, which would render it to a midi file and input it right there. I got the idea from using the "stepchild" plugin found on kvr. It's just an idea but I think it would be pretty neat.

Hi Ron,

I downloaded StepChild. It had some serious problems with Cubase SX, but I managed to run it in Tracktion - and even to drag from the Tracktion Plug-in to the Cubase Arrange Window. Impressive. Naturally I can see lots of applications for such a feature with reViSiT - but, as you say: "well down the road". I don't know, however, whether is a standard format for drag n' droping MIDI, or whether ModulR have just managed to divine Steinberg's internal format. It would be interesting to see if such a feature is practicable on other OS platforms.

All the best,
Chris
