Hi Everyone,
It's been a while since v0.87.1, but I have a number of good excuses - the principal of which was the theft of my laptop, including my book of reViSiT project notes. As such, I had a little trouble working out where I was in the code, once I returned to it (which was itself, fortunately, safely backed up). This new version, v0.87.2, nonetheless includes many new features - such as MIDI-In Note Entry, Axx resolution control, Bxx order skip and many, many more. However, the bulk of the update adds refinements, modifications and fixes.
A lot of effort was expended trying to consolidate the keyboard modes and replace them with something a little more elegant. Sadly, my efforts were in veign, but I have worked out a way around the problem. In v0.87.3, the current plug-in window will be split into two: the current window will become an output display and toolbar (with no keyboard support) and a second separate window will inherit all the editing duties. This latter window will be completely controlled by reViSiT and will not have to pander to any host - which should not only allow for universal keyboard support, but also facilitate features such as resizing and full-screen use. I am also hopeful that I can integrate this second window into the host's workspace (i.e. still have it as a "child" window of the host), so that it still feels like part of the host - though this will be optional.
Stay tuned and keep the feedback coming!
