reViSiT 1.1.2 Pro is now available, to address the problem of sample / instrument audition, which should also cure the hanging notes. The problem centred around the detection of released keys, which are naturally also connected to Note Offs - so hopefully this should solve the MIDI Note Off problems as well. I've also switched the increment /decrement instrument keys, which had got swapped in the move to the new keyboard handler.

Let me know if you find any other undocumented features, or if the MIDI Note Off problems persist (though I don't know what else they could be, as the MIDI code has changed little since 1.0.7).

Download reViSiT v1.1.2 Pro from http://www.nashnet.co.uk/experiment/download.asp.

Enjoy!

You sure the .zip contains 1.1.2?

No, you're quite right - that's still 1.1.1. 'Should be able to upload the new version in the next few hours. In the meantime, I've rolled back the release to "1.1.1".

Okay, should be the correct version now.

Apologies for the mix up!

This also could be my softsampler, but when I control a break in there from revisit, and I put (for example) the SC3 effect command on a note (to shorten a drumhit), it only does the effect when standing on the note in the matrix and playing it, but when the whole pattern is played by midi in my host, it skips the effect. Is this a bug or something wrong with my MIDI or softsampler?

Is the effect processed properly when playing detached from the host (e.g. F5, F6, F7)?

I think it does when the effect is at the first row of the pattern, but not in the middle, both playing in the host in midi as in the tracker itself

When the minor row highlight equals the major row highlight, repeating ALT-D to double a block doesn't work.

On a side note: irregular highlighters have their use, but are impossible so far. Think of 7/8 structures which are typically based on 4+3 counting. An array the length of the song, and a means to set a row to [off], [minor] or [major], can solve this.. :P
