Member Posts: 7 Location: Adelaide, South Australia | I have a Laptop, or as I prefer to call it, my Portable Studio. HURRAH! Great for lunch breaks at work. It happens to be a Toshiba Satellite 500. It has 4GB of memory with Pentium Dual Core 2.1 MHz. It runs Windows 7 (amazingly I've had no crashes so far!) I have an old Yamaha YS 200 for MIDI input (Unfortunately, I need a USB to MIDI cable to use it since moving to a laptop. I will likely buy a real life proper macho MIDI keyboard in future.) I can't sing so the crummy inbuilt speaker (which is probably a crappy condenser microphone) suits me fine when I scream incoherently. I play electric and bass guitar and own both (cheap brands, but not necessarily nasty). My kitchen and workplace could also be considered an instrument to sample from. FL Studio, Audacity and SynthEdit are my primary bits of software for music. Likely reViSiT will be included in that list considering all that I learned while a teenager using trackers in the '90s.
